RISQ

RISQ is the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme.

RISQ gives buyers and suppliers a comprehensive view of the supply chain. Since 2018 they have been run entirely for the benefit of the railway and its supply chain, cutting prices to a competitive level. They have stakeholders, not shareholders. RISQS is:

  • Designed with industry involvement 

  • Overseen by independent industry figures 

  • Built for rail from the ground up

Accreditation to both Interational and National Standards involves:

 

a. auditing your company documentation to provide a baseline for improvement.

b. performing site inspections to check your current level of compliance to your procedures and practices.

c. checking your risk assessments and the level of compliance to those assessments.

d. developing a management system that both reflects your desired objectives and meets the requiremets of the chosen International Standard or Accreditation Body

e. training all your staff how to comply and why.

f. auditing your revised system to ensure future compliance
